Margot’s 5th Halloween on this planet began the night before with seats at the Buell Theater to watch a performance of Beauty and the Beast. She stayed up to midnight.

Her Aunt Ellie got her off to a good start Saturday with a boo bag.

Meanwhile, I counted out 1200 pieces of candy. The good weather suggested a big turnout.

My sister Kathy texted me a photo of her costume in Mississippi.

While her daughter Brook clad in a similarly-themed black t-shirt. The midterms were on their minds.

The first little boo of the night arrived at my house at 4:15. Terror was off to an early start.

Margot wasn’t far behind, getting out before nightfall.

Chase’s home was one of her first stops.

If you have yet to figure out her costume, Margot was dressed as the corpse bride. Her choice.

Margot returned in the dark of the night to help her Coco hand out candy.

Our candy supply held out to about 7:30pm. We retired safely in the house, ate more of Coco’s chili, watched Hocus Pocus and were all in bed by 10pm.
