There is not a more magical place to listen to a concert on this planet than Red Rocks. The clouds to the north, on the left of this photo, backlit the stage with a playful lightning show Wednesday throughout the evening.

Karen and I met with friends for dinner in Golden before the show. First time to see Jed and Gretchen post-apocalypse. We had a blast.
I still have my Lyle Lovett CD from thirty years ago. This is the first time I’ve seen him play in concert. His voice was as sweet as Texas tea – experienced, melodic and enchanting. Imagine listening to a Texas country twang backed by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Great show.
It was a beautiful evening, and a terrific show. I think we were all a bit anxious after the wild hail storms at a Red Rocks show less than earlier, but the weather couldn’t not have been better. It was great hanging out with Karen and Ed again – Jed

OMG, the picture of the audience!: they look just like the people in the audiences of shows I go to. OLD. I went to a show once where the audience was noticeably young; I did not know that Josh Garrells was Christian Rock. But Leo Kotkke, The Record Company, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jimmy Vaughan, man, give me old people’s music. I would love to hear Lyle Lovett, surrounded by my brethren. Nice.

Absolutely beautiful man! Lyle is one of my favorites, and Red Rocks is THE amphitheater. Beautiful pics make me miss home!
